What is full suspension and what are the benefits on an e-MTB?

Full suspension means that the bike has suspension on the front fork and a rear shock absorber. The three key benefits on an e-MTB are:

  • Better traction: the rear wheel maintains contact with the ground on uneven terrain
  • Greater control: improved stability on technical descents, over rocks and roots
  • Greater comfort: shock absorption reduces rider fatigue on long rides
  • It is the preferred system for enduro, all-mountain and technical trails. For MTB beginners, the M700 Wild (hardtail) is an excellent entry-level bike before progressing to full suspension.

What are the advantages of the S950 Wild’s carbon frame compared to aluminium?

The carbon frame of the S950 Wild Full Suspension offers four distinct advantages over aluminium:

  • Stiffer: greater efficiency in transferring pedalling power
  • Vibration absorption: carbon absorbs micro-vibrations that aluminium transmits to the rider

Can I use a BEEQ e-MTB on the road and in town as well?

Technically, it is possible, but e-MTBs have been optimised for off-road use, not for tarmac. The wide-section tyres and off-road geometry create greater rolling resistance on the road, making urban use less efficient. For truly mixed use (city + countryside + some off-road), the M700 Wild ATB or the E900 Crossover from the Touring range are technically more balanced options.
